There's some symmetry for the Rangers between the 2015 draft and the one we're approaching on July 17, though not enough to make their position at least a little more comfortable this time. While not everyone agreed on the sequence, there was a virtual consensus seven years ago on who the top three players in the draft were. As widely predicted, shortstops Dansby Swanson, Alex Bregman and Brendan Rodgers came off the board first, and the Rangers were left to pick fourth, taking pitcher Dillon Tate.
